AMT's Key Personnel

Rob Dunbar Managing Director
Rob joined AMT in 1987 and took on the role of Design Manager for the ANZAC ships, then subsequently in 2001 as General Manager. Prior to joining AMT, Rob worked for Defence within the Directorate of Naval Ship Design in a range of technical areas. His last position was a key role in the evaluation of contenders for the New Construction Submarine Program and in providing engineering support to the Oberon class submarines.
Don Cruickshank Engineering Manager
Don has had over 20 years of experience in naval projects in either design or engineering management roles of which 15 years have been with AMT. Don spent a number of those years in Hamburg undertaking the design of the electrical and platform control and monitoring systems for the ANZAC Frigates before returning to Australia to provide onsite electrical design support during the construction of the vessels.
Peter Goodin Hull Systems Manager
Peter is AMT's Naval Architecture Manager and Head of the Hull Engineering Department with responsibility for naval architecture design, including stability, hydrodynamics, structures and outfit systems. Before joining AMT, Peter held various senior positions within the Department of Defence for the FFG7 Class and ANZAC Ship Projects.
Graeme Way Electrical Systems Manager
Graeme's early career was at Williamstown Naval Dockyard involving exposure to a wide range of vessels and engineering activity on River Class Destroyer Escorts and naval non-combatants. Graeme's duties with AMT have included the integration of the Harpoon Weapon System, and a new combat system architecture within the ANZACs and all electrical changes related to the conversion of MV Delos into RAN ship Sirius.
Piers Fraser Marine Systems Manager
As Head of the AMT Marine Systems Department, Piers has undertaken design and integration engineering tasks on a number of RAN classes including FFGs, ANZACs, LPAs and the Auxiliary Oiler replacement. The Commissioning MEO for HMAS ANZAC, prior to joining AMT Piers had a 20 year career with the RAN consisting of postings to numerous vessels and several major projects.
Peter Stevenson Project Controls Manager
Peter has had 30 years of experience in naval projects in design and configuration management roles, of which 20 years have been with AMT. Peter spent a number of those years in Hamburg undertaking the design of the outfit systems and systems co-ordination for the ANZAC Frigates before returning to Australia to assume the role of Chief Draftsman during the construction of the ANZAC first of class vessels for the RAN and RNZN.
Rick Hunt Combat Systems Manager
Prior to joining AMT, Rick spent 20 years with the RAN. During that time he gained a wide engineering experience on ships, submarines and aircraft. As an RAN WEEO, Rick's final service position was as Combat Systems Manager for the ANZAC class. Since being with AMT Rick has undertaken design and integration engineering tasks on a number of RAN classes including FFGs, ANZACs, Armidale Patrol Boats and the Auxiliary Oiler replacement.
