AMT Proven Design Success for HMAS SIRIUS

In its role as ship designer for HMAS SIRIUS, one of AMT's greatest challenges was the integration of a Replenishment at Sea capability onto what was a commercial product tanker to meet a very tight design and production schedule.

The successful operation shown in the photographs is emphatic validation of AMT's design. It is even more fitting that the receiving vessel HMAS TOOWOOMBA is an ANZAC Frigate, considering AMT's long pedigree as the Australian design arm of the ANZAC Ship Project.

HMAS SIRIUS has also proven its RAS capabilities in operations with US Navy LHD USS ESSEX in joint exercise Talisman Saber TS07, June 2007 in the Coral Sea.
